Born 14 July 1947 in Copenhagen; M.A. (Latin and Greek) 1975; Dr.Phil. (University of Copenhagen) 1987; 1990- Associate Professor of Medieval and Renaissance Latin, Department of Greek and Latin, University of Copenhagen, from 1999 as Head of Department.
Studies abroad: 1978 and 1980 visiting fellow of Clare Hall, Cambridge University; 1983-85 research fellowship from the Carlsberg Foundation at the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae, Munich; 1988 research fellow of the Danish Academy in Rome.
